In Broome County, 1 in 8 families face food insecurity, often having to choose between buying groceries or paying rent. After rent, utilities, child care, transportation, health care expenses, and other bills, there’s often too little for healthy meals. That’s why United Way of Broome County launched The Full Plate Project so that no child, adult, or family is denied the most basic need to eat.
Equinox Broadcasting and GHS Federal Credit Union have once again teamed up to "Shred the Love" in support of the United Way's Full Plate Project. We're holding a FREE COMMUNITY SHRED DAY on Saturday, May 21st. Get rid of all of your important, personal documents that you don't want getting into the wrong hands. While the shredding is free, we are asking for donations to the United Way and The Full Plate Project. Suggested donations are $5 per box or bag but whatever you can give would mean the world to us. Please join us to "Shred the Love"!
